Our eighth graders, their teachers and parents had a wonderful time in Manhattan on Wednesday. Our Seniors, watched the legendary Rockettes perform at Radio City Music Hall and then walked over to Rockefeller Center to take pictures by this year’s tree. On the way, they bumped into the Grinch who, no matter how hard he tried, could not put a damper on their Christmas spirit. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from the Class of 2020!
Earlier this month our fourth graders visited the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City. The trip was a huge success! Our Spyropoulites explored and compared wind, solar and hydropower using LEGO EV3 robotics kits. They also had the opportunity to work with mini solar panels and turbines to complete challenges, determine how to most efficiently harness and use that power and compare the amount of energy they can capture from each source. The students enjoyed themselves and learned so much all in one day!
The Kindergarten wowed the audience today with a memorable Thanksgiving Day Assembly. The boys and girls were dressed as Pilgrims and Native Americans. They recited poems and sang songs in Greek and in English about one of our country’s most beautiful holidays- Thanksgiving. They reminded us how thankful we all need to be for all of our blessings. Happy Thanksgiving to all of our Spyropoulos families!
