Walking Trip to the Firehouse!

On Monday, October 22nd, the Kindergarten went on a walking trip to the firehouse! Our students all had the opportunity to go inside the firetruck.  They learned about the fireman’s gear and even had a chance to use a fire extinguisher! Our Kindergarteners are experts on fire safety.  They know about how to STOP, DROP, and ROLL and what to do in case of a fire!

Apple Picking in the Fall!

The first grade visited Masker Orchards in Warwick, New York on October 11th.  The students picked apples in the orchard, ventured into the corn maze and played with the farmyard animals.  They also stopped for delicious apple donuts, hot apple pie and ice cream, and yummy apple cider!

Walk for Science!

Mother Nature couldn’t stop the students, faculty, staff, and PTA of the William Spyropoulos School! Our First Annual Walk-a-thon for Science was a lot of fun!! All of our students, from our tiniest Kindergarteners to our eighth grade Seniors, walked enthusiastically around the neighborhood.  They had huge smiles on their faces as they carried balloons, waved posters and chanted, “Walk for Science!” At the end of the walk, the students were treated to ice cream sundaes by the PTA.  Congratulations to everyone for helping make this event such a great success!
