Our littlest Spyropoulites, our kindergarteners, graduated this week. They learned so much this year. They learned how to read and write, how to follow directions, how to share, and most importantly how to be good friends. Congratulations to the Kindergarten Class of 2019!!
It’s been a wonderful week for our graduates. Last Saturday, our eighth graders danced the night away at their prom at Zoodohos Peghe. On Monday, they received their caps and gowns, and we held a procession throughout the halls of our school as Pomp and Circumstance played in the background. We celebrated the achievements of our Seniors as they received awards, scholarships, cords and pins on Wednesday at Awards Night. And, on Friday, we held our commencement. Congratulations to this year’s valedictorian, Sophia Verwoert, to our salutatorian, Christina Tsiboukis, and to the entire Class of 2019!
At the Immigration Fair, our fourth graders shared with everyone lots of information about Russian, Italian, Chinese, Irish, German and, of course, Greek immigrants that entered the United States in hopes of finding a better life. Everyone there got to sample foods from these nations. Everything from the Italian meatballs to the German chocolate cake tasted delicious! Congratulations fourth graders, Mrs. Walsh and Mrs. Kostopoulos for a phenomenal job!
