Every year, our students become “Water Ambassadors.” William Spyropoulos has once again teamed up with the Department of Environmental Protection to educate people about protecting our most precious resource- water. Thanks to Mrs. Vlachoyannis, our Spyropoulites competed in the 33rd Annual Water Resources Art and Poetry Contest. This year, among 1600 entries from private and public school students in New York, we are proud to announce that William Spyropoulos had three winners. Congratulations to Daphne Kourkoumelis from the 2nd grade, Emilia Sarcona from the 5th grade, and Tatiana Markou from the 8th grade!
Students, parents and teachers enjoyed the Curriculum Fair on Friday, May 31st. Our talented students’ beautiful work from this school year was displayed for all to see. Even the teachers participated with their canvases displayed in the school lobby. According to our contest, Mrs. Orfanidis, Mrs. Tympanidis and Mrs. Perdik definitely have an artistic flair!
Our William Spyropoulos Choir amazed us all on Thursday night at their concert entitled “Be a Child With Me.” At the concert dedicated to their friend Joanna Ioannou, our choir sang songs that gave a child’s perspective of the world. They sang about a world full of joy, love and happiness. Congratulations to our talented students and to their teachers, Mrs. Giovanou and Mr. Eleftheriadis for a beautiful performance.
