School Highlights

The Vanderbilt Planetarium

On Friday, November 18th, our 5th grade students visited the Vanderbilt Planetarium.  They observed the Earth and the day/night sky.  Students were also introduced to ecosystems and they planted basil.  They had a great time!

Old Bethpage Village Restoration Trip

On Friday, November 18th, our 4th grade students went to Old Bethpage Village Restoration.  They learned about local history by experiencing life in a mid-19th century farming community on Long Island.  The experience helped them understand how daily life changed since the 1800s.  They all had a great time.

Kindergarten Happenings

On Thursday November 17th, Sergeant Guzman visited our Kindergarten classes, spoke about his duties as a police officer and reminded our students of rules that can keep them safe and well.  On Friday November 18th, Firefighters Stephen Gonzalez and Efren Perez also visited our Kindergarten classes and spoke about the life of firefighters and ways to keep them safe from fire.  We thank Sergeant Guzman and Firefighters Gonzalez and Perez for visiting and sharing such important information with our students.
