A Beautiful New Tradition- Class of 2018 Parade

On Monday, June 4th, our soon-to-be graduates received their caps and gowns and enthusiastically put them on and paraded around our school as Pomp and Circumstance played over the intercom. The Evlavia Doulaveris Preschoolers and all of our Spyropoulites lined the hallways and clapped and cheered as the eighth graders proudly marched by. What a beautiful tribute to our Seniors! We will miss you, Class of 2018!

Prize Winning Essay

Olympia Amaxas from Mrs. Stavropoulos’ Greek class was honored on Sunday, June 3rd at the Stathakion Cultural Center for the essay she wrote in class about her mom. The Mother’s Day contest was held by the Greek American Mothers Association, and Olympia received a $250 scholarship, a beautiful crystal cross, and a certificate. Congratulations Olympia! We are so very proud of you!

Beautiful Butterflies!

For almost a month, our third grade scientists have been studying butterflies. In class they have been amazing observers, as they witnessed their caterpillars go through the metamorphosis process. They were so excited when each beautiful butterfly finally emerged from its chrysalis. On Thursday, May 31st it was time for the students and their teachers to release their butterflies.
