Our third graders have been studying China, and this week they celebrated Chinese New Year. They wore red, a symbolic Chinese color, and paraded through our school holding their beautiful dragons. Traditional Chinese music played over the intercom. Our first graders lined the second floor hallway and greeted the third graders by playing their hand held drums. After their parade, the boys and girls enjoyed some delicious Chinese food. Gong Hei Fat Choy to all!
