School unity and school pride are what SPIRIT WEEK is all about! Spyropoulites celebrated by watching classic movies with beautiful messages on Monday. Tuesday was Class Color Day, and our classes showed their unity through color. Our students’ humor was expressed through wacky socks on Wednesday, and on Thursday, students enjoyed spending some leisure time playing board games with their classmates. Spirit Week ended with Favorite Jersey Friday. Students sported their favorite team jerseys and were excited to share and talk about their favorite teams. We hope that everyone enjoyed the week and the important messages of school spirit, friendship and love.
Lambrini Xerakias, a fourth grade student in our school, organized a pajama and sock drive for Saint Mary’s Hospital for Children. Thanks to the generosity of our Spyropoulos families, we were able to donate 26 boxes filled with pajamas and socks! Lambrini and our Junior and Senior Student Councils played a huge part in making this drive such a success! Thank you to all who participated, and a special thank you to Lambrini who spearheaded this very worthwhile project.
Our fifth grade students presented a beautiful play and our fourth grade chorus sang patriotic songs as we all celebrated our American heritage. A very touching part of the presentation was when the fifth graders presented roses to honor a dad in the audience, Master Sergeant Alexander Vargas, and two veteran grandfathers, Constantine Cherpelis and Athanasios Pappas. Congratulations to all for a job well done!
